About Me
I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in Shoulder and Elbow surgery. My NHS practice is based at King’s College Hospital London, where I was appointed in 1996.
During my training, I have gained wide experience as a Consultant in managing major trauma, both at King’s College Hospital and elsewhere. I have undertaken a Trauma Fellowship at Harborview Hospital in Seattle, USA and King’s College Hospital, London.
I have also specialised in Arthroscopic Surgery of the shoulder, elbow and wrist. I have been to New York and Seattle for Shoulder and Elbow Fellowships. I have also undertaken an Upper Limb Fellowship at Wrightington Hospital, UK, dealing with shoulder, elbow and hand disorders. These Clinical Interests guide many of my research endeavours.
I have continued to develop my own Shoulder and Elbow clinical practice and helped to build up the King’s Upper Limb Unit to a high level, recognised both Nationally and Internationally.
Throughout my career, I have continued teaching both Medical Students and Post-Graduate Students and I am an Honorary Senior Lecturer at Kings College London. I am actively involved in Kings Health Partners (KHP), both as a joint CAG Leader for Orthopaedics, Trauma and Plastics, and actively involved in KHP Academic Surgery.
